Verizon settlement payouts begin hitting claimants bank accounts, leaving many unhappy

Category: Legal News

Verizon has agreed to pay $100 million to settle a class action lawsuit over undisclosed administrative fees charged to U.S. customers with post-paid wireless plans. Customers who paid these fees between January 2016 and November 2023 were eligible to file claims. As of January 7, 2024, payouts have begun, but many customers report receiving much smaller amounts than expected, with some as low as $3. The settlement website indicates payments may be up to $100, depending on the duration of service and the number of valid claims filed.
